Unlike the ground of the electrical outlet (which we strongly advise against in Sweden), the ground rod creates a clean, natural grounding without the risk of interference or uncertainties.

Important compatibility notes

• Fits Earthingpeople products only (4mm standard).
• For products from other manufacturers (e.g. with a different plug standard), a reverse adapter cord is needed – it is placed between the ground rod wire and the product cord.

Step-by-step installation – takes just a few minutes

1. Choose a location : Place the earth rod about 50 cm from the house foundation where the ground is moist (better conductivity).
2. Pull out the cord : Open the nearest window and let the cord down. Leave about 1 meter of extra slack for movement.
3. Put down the rod :
   • Push the rod about 30–50 cm into the ground (use the plastic sleeve as protection).
   • Is the ground frozen? Remove the plastic sleeve and carefully tap the pole down with a hammer – never hit the plastic sleeve directly, it may break.
4. Securely attach the wire :
   • Pull along the facade to the window (e.g. along downspouts).
   • Secure with small plastic clips (available at electrical stores or grocery stores), cable ties, strong tape, adhesive or hot melt glue.
   • In the window frame: Make a small groove with a screwdriver in the wood, or use cable clamps. The wire is plastic-coated steel wire – it can withstand the window being closed without breaking.
5. Connect indoors : From the female connector (now inside), plug the product cord (included with your sheet/mat) directly in.
