What is Emotion Code®?

Our bodies store emotions – both those we experience consciously and those we may not even be aware of. A trapped emotion is a sphere of emotional energy, about the size of a honeydew melon, that can get stuck anywhere in the body. These can cause:

Physical problems – Pain, tension or other physical problems

Mental and emotional blocks – Anxiety, depression or stress

Difficulties in relationships and work – Emotional patterns that affect your daily life

On average, we humans carry 200-300 trapped emotions, and through the Emotion Code® it is possible to release them and restore the body’s natural balance.

The Emotion Code® is not a substitute for medical care or assistance.

Release trapped emotions and balance your energy

Emotion Code® is a method developed by Dr. Bradley Nelson to identify and release stuck emotional blocks in the body, also called “trapped emotions”. These emotions can be stored in the body’s energy field and affect both physical and mental health.

The method is based on the body’s subtle energy system, where emotional trauma can create imbalances that disrupt the natural flow of information between cells and organs. Using muscle testing, the therapist identifies these blockages and releases them, which can contribute to increased wellbeing and balance.

Scientifically, Emotion Code® relates to the fields of bioenergetics and psychosomatics, where emotional experiences affect the autonomic nervous system, hormones and the immune system. Studies have shown that emotional trauma can have an impact:

Nervous system – Imbalances between the sympathetic and parasympathetic nervous systems can make it harder for the body to regulate stress and recovery. ✔ Brain signaling system – An imbalance in neurotransmitters, such as serotonin and substance P, can affect mood and stress management. ✔ Vagus nerve – Trauma can disrupt the function of the vagus nerve, affecting both mental and physical well-being.
